ARTIST STATEMENT |
| |
Ursula Theinert is an environmental expressionism artist. Her triptychs are based on her home and farmlet. Ursula inscribes text into her paintings enhancing themes of spiritual bonds we have with nature, perception of ownership, fragility and destiny. Ursula and her husband Werner fought the fire around their home on Black Saturday and through her paintings Fire Angels and Changeling, reached an important process in coming to terms with the fire and realities of the aftermath. |

BRIEF C.V. AND BIOGRAPHY |
| |
Born in 1955. Ursula is an Environment Expressionist, as her work explores the relationship between human kind and the environment. She draws her inspiration from the Australian bush, plantations and quarries. Ursula feels that plantations of often alien species may give the impression of environmentally positive outcomes, however on closer scrutiny leads to deserts under the canopy for native flora and fauna. |
